Octavio Okana was born Octavio Augusto Pérez Okana on November 7, 1998 in Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico. Little is known about his early childhood, his parents, and his college years. He seems to have been interested in acting since early childhood.

Octavio started his career very early on the television show Chabelo. He appeared in the Chiquillos y Chiquillas section of the television show. At the age of seven, he was cast in the role of Benito Rivers in the Mexican television series Vecinos. He was part of the series as one of the main cast members from seasons 1 to 3 and from seasons 5 to 11. Okana appeared as a guest star in the fourth season.
Okana was also part of a movie called Amos letter by letter, released in 2008. He played the role of Gaspar in the film. In 2007, he appeared as Otto von Ferdinand in the Mexican teen drama series Lola…Erase Forever. That same year, he played Benito in the Mexican family comedy La Familia P. Luche.
