Rick Leventhal was born on January 24, 1960 in Christian County, Kentucky, United States. His full name is Richard Gary Leventhal. He was born the youngest son of retired psychologist Dr. C. Allan Leventhal. His mother, Carol Leventhal, was a director of Greenbelt Cares. Rick has an older brother, Scott, and a sister, Lee.
Regarding his education, he graduated from high school in 1978 from Montgomery Blair High School. He later enrolled at the American University in Washington, DC. where she earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. At the beginning of his career, he was a local journalist.
