Early life
Mulatto was born Alyssa Michelle Stevens on December 22, 1998 in Columbus, Ohio, USA. Her parents are Shane Stevens and Misty Pitts. The mulatto spent her childhood in Clayton County. She attended Lovejoy High School. Previously, Mulato had been bullied at school because of her fair skin, as her father was black and her mother was white. She adopted the stage name “Miss Mulatto” based on the racial classification of mulattoes.

At the age of 10, he decided to pursue a career as a rapper. In his early years, he composed many of his rap songs. He even dropped out of school to pursue music. In 2016, he participated in the Lifetime reality show The Rap Game. He participated in a reality show under the stage name “Miss Mulatto”.
At the end of the show, she became the winner of the show and signed a contract with So So Def Records. The deal was later rejected because the prize money was not enough to start an independent career.

She was rumored to be dating rapper 21 Savage when they went on vacation together in December. However, Mulat later publicly denied the rumour.
