Jonathan Ownes was born on July 22, 1995 in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. He attended Christian Brothers College, where he was a very active high school football player. He played under the guidance of coach Scott Pingle who through his education helped him grow as a player. His outstanding performance also earned him the CBC Linebacker of the Year award.
