Garcel Beauvais was born on November 26, 1966 in Saint March, Haiti. His parents are Axel Jean Pierre and MariClaire Beauvais. His father Axel is a lawyer and his mother Marie is a nurse. He was young when his parents divorced. At the age of 7, he moved to the United States with his mother. He has six older brothers, with whom he grew up in Peabody, Massachusetts.

Garcel knew only French and Creole when he moved to the United States. But he learns English quickly after watching the children’s series Sesame Street. At the age of 16, she moved to Miami, dreaming of becoming a model.
