Virgin River renewed for a fourth season
Netflix has yet to approve a fourth season in mid-August 2021. However, it’s no secret that filming has already begun.
Earlier this year, we reported that various production listings indicated that the show would be returning for a fourth season. Also, we later found out that filming for season 4 was supposed to start at the end of July 2021. All the shows are filmed in Vancouver, Canada.
Radio Times Lauren Morris interviewed Tim Matheson, who plays Vernon Doc, shortly after the season 3 premiere, and confirmed our reports that filming would begin “overnight.”
Thanks to an Instagram post from the Watershed Grill, we learn that filming will take place at the Watershed Grill on August 17-18, 2021. The Watershed Grill is a bar on the Virgin River.
Fans of the series shouldn’t be surprised to learn that the update was quick. Seasons 2 and 3 were renewed ahead of their debut on Netflix. Season 3 was particularly notable because it was filmed right after Season 2.
Virgin River Season 4 Release Date
The filming takes place so soon that the new season will not be long. Don’t expect the show to premiere in 2021. We’re expecting Virgin River season 4 to return in 2022. It will most likely be Q2 2022, the period from April to July 2022.
Virgin River Season 4 Content
Mal’s biggest storyline in season four is her pregnancy. However, Mel’s father is not revealed. This information will be revealed at the end of season 4. Brady’s future is uncertain after he was arrested at the end of season 2 for shooting Jack.
Although we should see Hope return in the fourth season, the details of her appearance are still unknown. It was revealed that she was visiting her aunt in another part of the country, but she was away for most of the third season.
