Dixie D’Amelio and her sister Charlie D’Amelio star in an upcoming reality show alongside parents Heidi and Mark as they adjust to their newfound fame on social media.
The first season of The D’Amelio Show will consist of eight episodes. Wait and the reality show will end soon! On Friday, TikTok’s First Family announced that its upcoming Hulu reality show, The D’Amelio Show, will premiere on September 3.
Meanwhile, parents and teen educators “support their daughters’ dreams and do whatever it takes to stay together as a family and protect their daughters from the dark side of fame as they struggle to adjust to life in Hollywood.”
Hulu announced the documentary series last December. The D’Amelio Show, which will feature eight episodes in its first season, will take a closer look at the lives of Dixie and Charlie, as well as that of their parents, Mark and Heidi.
“We have always been a close-knit family, but this experience has brought us even closer and we are so excited to share our perspective on our lives with the world,” Mark said in a statement at the time. “Many people create an impression of us based on short content, minutes or even seconds. But now we would like to share a page that you probably won’t see on our social networks.
Hulu took a look at the series in May with a minute-long trailer showing the family adjusting to the rise of Dixie and Charlie.
“We’re best friends,” Dixie, 19, says of her 17-year-old sister Charlie, “and sometimes we can’t even look at each other.”
At one point, Heidi says, “Normal kids don’t change with [social media] followers.”
