He is best known for his role as Kartika Goenka in the Star Plus series Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai alongside Shivangi Joshi. He also played another famous Riteish character in another Star Plus show called Nisha aur uske primos (2014).

He began his career as an assistant director on the Bollywood film Koilaanchal. The film stars Vinod Khanna and Sunil Shetty.

In 2016, Mohsin Khan reportedly stopped filming Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. He came to the set, he interfered with the filming, and he didn’t even come to the set the next day. It was also reported that his phone was turned off.
