Michael Williams was born on November 22, 1966 in New York, United States. He was born to a Bahamian mother and an American father. Williams spent most of his childhood at the Vanderveer Projects in East Flatbush, Brooklyn.
Regarding his education, he attended George Westinghouse Career and Technical Education High School. He later joined the National Black Theater to pursue an acting career.
