When she was three years old, her family moved to Park Ridge, a suburb of Chicago. Her father, Hugh Rodham, was of English and Welsh descent and ran a small, successful textile business that he founded. Her mother, Dorothy Howell, was a homemaker of Dutch, English, French-Canadian (Quebec), Scottish, and Welsh descent. She also has siblings. Clinton has two younger brothers, Hugh and Tony.
