Singer Chris Daughtry has abruptly postponed his tour after his 25-year-old sister-in-law Hannah was found dead at her home in Tennessee.
The American Idol finalist, who was scheduled to perform with his group in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Friday, returned to Nashville to be with his grieving family, People reports.
“Due to the unexpected death of Chris and Dina Daughtry’s daughter, Hannah, all of Daughtry’s scheduled shows for the coming week have been postponed,” the band said in a statement.
“The Daughtry family thanks you for your understanding and respectfully requests your privacy at this very difficult time,” the statement said. “More details will be provided at a later time. Investigations into this tragic death are ongoing.
