Early life
Brat was born Shonte Harris on April 14, 1974 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He spent his childhood on the West Side of Chicago. A brother was born to her parents David Ray McCoy and Beverly Calloway. Her father, David, is a businessman and her mother, Beverly, is a bus driver. She spent her early days in two different houses as her parents never married.
The brother often attended the Apostolic Church and sang in the choir there. Training-wise, he enrolled at Kenwood Academy to earn his bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
