Can you switch from gold to silver?
OP, you don’t rot in gold/silver/bronze at all. You couldn’t play the rest of the season and you stay gold. The only way to get downgraded to Silver is by losing a bunch of games to Gold V 0LP and emptying your MMR.
Is Diamond a good ranking?
Statistically you are better at diamonds than a good majority of players. Platinum and gold average above average, but you wouldn’t believe that given how many people talk about ranks.
