Early life and school career

Barkevius Mingo was born on October 4, 1990 in Bell Glade, Florida, United States. Nothing is known of his youth or his parents. For education, he enrolled in West Monroe High School. In high school, he was literate in football and track.

Mingo then began playing soccer for the school team under the guidance of team coach Don Shows. He was named a junior AllState in class 5A.
