Abraham Unser was born on February 27, 1991 in McAllen, Texas, United States. His parents were Mexican. He has dual US and Mexican citizenship. Abraham spent his early childhood until he was 14 years old in Reinos, Mexico.
Regarding his education, he attended Shariland High School. Subsequently, he studied at the Odessa High School. He was on the All-American first team in college. Unser also competed in the Junior National Collegiate Golf Championship, where he finished second.
