Trick Daddy (real name Maurice Samuel Young) was born September 27, 1974 in Miami, Florida, USA. He was born to his parents Charles Young and Pearl Brockington. Trick was raised by his mother along with 10 siblings. He grew up with his siblings in an apartment complex on Freedom Square. Trick also lived with his father, who was a local pimp. When he became a teenager, he and his brother Derek moved in with their father.

When he started living with his father, he and his brother started selling crack cocaine on the street. At the age of 15, he was arrested for possession of drugs and firearms.
