Early life

Reggie Miller was born on August 24, 1965 in Riverside, California, United States. When he was a child, he couldn’t walk normally because he had a hip deformity since he was born. Miller has been wearing braces on both legs for several years, which has helped his legs get stronger. He grew up with five siblings in an athletic family.

Regarding his education, he attended Riverside Polytechnic High School. Later he transferred to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Miller has a bachelor’s degree in history. He played basketball with the UCLA Bruins varsity basketball team during the NCAA season.

Reggie has the most points in the league, the most free throws and the highest season average at UCLA. In 2010, Miller was inducted into the Pac12 Conference Hall of Honor and in 2013 he retired his No. 31 from UCLA.

Selected by the Indiana Pacers in the 1987 NBA draft, Miller donned jersey number 31 and stepped onto the basketball court with the Indiana Pacers. He initially supported shooter John Long before he started playing. Miller was instrumental in building the Pacers into a multi-season playoff team. He scored a game-high 57 points on November 28, 1992 against the Charlotte Hornets.

Miller had a phenomenal shot in the 1994 Eastern Conference Finals, where he scored 39 points. His standout performance in the game helped lead the Pacers to a 9,386 win at Madison Square Garden.

On May 6, 2000, Miller scored 40 points with teammate Jalen Rose. He scored points in the Eastern Conference semifinals. As a result, he and Rose became the most successful teammate pairing in playoff history.

In 2005, he averaged around 20 points in each game that season. On March 18, 2018, he scored 39 points against the Los Angeles Lakers.
