Early life

Patrick Chang was born on August 19, 1987 in Kingston, Jamaica. He was born to his parents Ronald and Sophia George Chang. His father was a music producer and manager for his mother Sophia, a Jamaican reggae artist. Chang grew up with his 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

Regarding his education, he attended Rancho Cucamonga High School. He played wide receiver and quarterback for his high school team. In 2004 he entered the University of Oregon.

Chang began his professional career after being selected in the second round of the 2009 NFL Draft and drafted by the New England Patriots.
