Mako Komuro, or Mako, was a member of Japan’s imperial family, but was forced to relinquish her title when she married her childhood sweetheart Kei in 2021. Previously, she was known as Princess Mako of Akishino . Her husband is a lawyer and she married him and relinquished her title, which is a consequence of the Imperial House Law which requires members of the royal family to relinquish her titles after marrying a commoner
He also turned down a $1.4 million government gift that is usually given to a member of the royal family after their departure.
He is also a patron of several non-profit organizations. The former princess became an internet star in 2004.

Mako was born on October 23, 1991 and will be 30 years old in 2021. He was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. She was born at the Imperial Household Agency Hospital in Tokyo, Japan. She is Japanese by nationality. She was a member of the Japanese imperial family until 2021, after which she married a commoner and was forced to relinquish her royal title.
He studied at the Gakushuin School. He then studies English at University College Dublin. In 2014 she graduated in Arts and Heritage from International Christian University. She also studied briefly at the University of Edinburgh. She also has an MA in Museums and Art Galleries from the University of Leicester. In 2016 she entered the doctoral program at the International Christian University.
