The Queen of Halloween released the “Don’t Cancel Halloween” video on October 13, 2020 on her Elvira Mistress of Dark YouTube channel.
This song is a parody of Madonna’s 1983 hit “Holiday”. The lyrics say: I’m the queen of Halloween / COVID19 ruined everything / If they cancel Halloween / Because we’re still in quarantine / It’ll drive me crazy / It won’t stink / That would suck.
Since then, the video has gone viral. People are surprised that “Lord of the Dark” doesn’t seem to have aged since it debuted in the early 1980s. Many have wondered how old he is now.

KHJTV in Los Angeles wanted to revive a weekly horror show called “Fright Night” hosted by Sinister Seymour (later Larry Vincent) in 1981. Peterson auditioned for the role of horror host and Elvira, his alter ego, was born. She quickly became a celebrity synonymous with Halloween.
Peterson was a bar drag queen before her television appearance. She told the San Francisco Bay Guardian: “I always tell people I was raised by a bunch of wild drag queens.” “When I was little, there were so many drag queens around me… Mr. Bobby and Tony dressed me. “…and then we would do The Supremes.”
Peterson was also a dancer in Las Vegas before hitting our television screens in a low-cut black dress, black wig and sarcastic humor.
Peterson, known as Elvira, has hosted numerous horror and Halloween shows. She has also appeared in comics and video games. She has appeared in several movies including Scooby-Doo Returns to Zombie Island. Peterson has more than 80 acting credits both in and out of her iconic role. In 2016, Peterson released a book called Elvira’s 35th Birthday Coffin Table.
To date, his fortune is estimated at $3.5 million.
