Kim Jongdae (born September 21, 1992), better known by his stage name Chen, is a South Korean singer-songwriter. In 2012, he debuted as a member of the South Korean Chinese boy band Exo and its subgroup ExoM, and has since appeared in SM Entertainment’s projects ExoCBX and SM the Ballad. He is best known for his role as a singer for the band Exo. Additionally, Chen has also recorded songs for various TV dramas, including “Best Luck” for “It’s Okay, That’s Love” (2014) and “Everytime” for Descendants of the Sun (2016). Chen made his solo debut with the extended track “April and a Flower”, which reached No. 2 on South Korea’s Gaon Albums Chart and spawned the 2019 hit “Beautiful Goodbye”.
