Chad Ochochinko Johnson was born on January 9, 1978 in Miami, Florida, United States. He was born to his parents Sam Brown and Paula Johnson. Chad lost his father on January 7, 2012. He grew up with two sisters named Silina Johnson and Chinita.

Regarding his education, he attended Miami Beach High School. He graduated from high school in 1997 and entered Langston University. However, she later moved to Santa Monica Community College in California. While in school in Santa Monica, he played football with future NFL wide receiver Steve Smith. Chad then moved to Oregon State University after being called up to play for the USO team.

Chad’s professional career began after he was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft. While playing for the Bengals in 2003, he set a franchise record for the Bengals with 1,355 yards. Shortly after the year, he broke his franchise record with 1,432 yards. On April 20, 2006, Chad extended his contract with the Bengals through 2011.

Ochocinco played for the Bengals in the 2010 season. In his final season with the Bengals, Chad tied the Bengals’ franchise record for touchdowns, eventually becoming the sixth player in NFL league history to reach the 10,000 with a registered team at the receiving yard. On July 28, 2011, he was sold to the New England Patriots. Despite the least productive season of his career with the Patriots, he was released from the team on June 7, 2012.

Chad signed with the Miami Dolphins on June 11, 2012. He had been with the Dolphins for two months when he was released on August 12 after being arrested the night before. On April 17, 2014, he signed a two-year contract with the Montreal Alouette. Chad appeared in five regular season games for the Alouettes in the 2014 CFL season due to nagging injuries. He became a free agent on February 9, 2016 after not receiving a new contract offer.

After his retirement, Johnson worked as a guest coach with the Cleveland Browns. In March 2010, he appeared on Season 10 as one of the contestants on the reality show Dancing with the Stars. Chad appeared as a guest on WWE Raw on September 13, 2010. He returned to soccer in 2018 after signing with the National Premier League.
