Early Life

Brian was born on April 18, 1974 in Ontario, Canada. His father was an aeronautical engineer, and judging from Brian’s appearance, he was also interested in technical work, like helping build the family cabin. He became a good handyman and at the age of 14 he started a small business helping his neighbors as handymen.

As for his training, he studied political science and business administration. He later earned a Bachelor of Arts. at the University of Western Ontario.

Brian initially thought he wanted to pursue a career in law. However, he discovered his interest in construction and engineering while he was growing up where he worked as a teenager. Ultimately, he focused on the air travel business, which he ran until 2003. He also founded Baeumler Quality Construction and Renovations.

Over time, he began to participate as an owner, since he had experience in construction and repair. One of his first shows was Disaster DIY, which has been running since 2007. In the series, Brian helps homeowners who are trying to renovate their homes on their own but can’t do it. The show was a success and lasted until 2011.
