Bill Nye or William Sanford Nye is a famous American mechanical engineer, science writer, and professional television personality. He is widely known as the host of the popular science television show Bill Nye the Science Guy.
He is also known for his appearances on the hit Netflix show Bill Nye Saves the World and numerous media appearances as a science educator. He is also known for his invention of the hydraulic resonance suppression tube.

Bill Nye was born on November 27, 1955 and will be 66 in 2021. He was born and raised in a strong Christian family in Washington DC, USA. He is American by nationality and professes the Christian religion.
He received his elementary education at Lafayette Elementary School, Alice Deal High School, and Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC, USA.
He then enrolled at Cornell University’s Sibley School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, earning a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. From a young age he was interested in science, which he deepened when he took an astronomy course from the famous American astronomer and planetologist Carl Sagan.
