Ben Platt or Benjamin Schiff Platt is an American known as an actor, singer, and songwriter. As a child, he began his acting career in musical theater. In 2006, Ben appeared in a production of The Sound of Music. Later, from 2012 to 2015, he starred in The Book of Mormon. From 2015 to 2017, Ben is best known for starring in the Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen, Comingofage. His performances helped him achieve fame and numerous awards. He has also received Tony, Emmy and Grammy awards.
Ben was the youngest solo winner of the Tony Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Musical. The role was seen as Evan Hansen in the 2021 film adaptation of the musical. While it lists notable achievements to his credit, must-see movies include the Pitch Perfect, Ricky and the Flash, and Run This City franchises. He also appeared in the Netflix comedy-drama series The Politician. He was also nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy Television Series.
In 2017, Ben was included in Time’s annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world. Ben also signed to Atlantic Records in 2017. His debut studio album Sing to Me Place was released in March 2019. His first concert film on Netflix was released in May 2020 titled Radio City Music’s Ben Platt Live Hall. In 2021, on August 13, Ben’s second studio album called Reverie was released.
