Beanie Siegel was born on March 6, 1974 in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Little is known about her early childhood, her parents, and her college years. As a child she was interested in rap.

Beeny released his debut studio album titled The Truth on February 29, 2000. The album was a critical and commercial success. He later teamed up with rapper Freeway, who was also a member of RocAFella Records, and released an original song called “Roc the Mic”. Beanie worked on several videos before serving his one-year sentence in 2005. He also completed his third album, The B. Coming, which was released on March 29, 2005.

In January 2003, he was arrested after punching a 53-year-old man in the face. Beany turned himself in to Philadelphia police on July 3, 2003, and was later charged with attempted murder after being shot six times outside the club with a 9mm pistol.

He was arrested in 2009 for drug possession and pleaded guilty in 2010 to failing to file tax returns in excess of $1 million between 2003 and 2005. He was also sentenced to 25 months in prison.

In 2012, Bini was again sentenced to 23 months in prison for illegal possession of prescription drugs. He was released from the Schuykill Federal Correctional Institution on August 14, 2014 and was to serve the remainder of his sentence in a Philadelphia halfway house. Siegel was seriously injured in a shooting at his New Jersey home on December 5, 2014, which resulted in his lungs being removed in a complicated operation.
